Yanira’s Priorities

• Lowering costs for families: reduce healthcare costs, expand affordable housing and homeownership, and improve access to food and economic opportunity.

  Expanding healthcare access: increase the number of doctors, nurses, and providers , invest in mental and behavioral health, and support community clinics closer to home.

  Strengthening education & opportunity: expand and support career pathways and training for teachers, strengthen bilingual education, ensure  early childhood investments work for kids and families, and improve school safety.

  Housing & Westside infrastructure: fund affordable housing, invest and improve  community space and neighborhoods.

  Public safety & community stability: strengthen and invest in public safety, reduce homelessness, and stand up for all families—including immigrant communities.
